- Weather: Buenos Aires has a humid subtropical climate. Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are the best seasons for tourism, with mild temperatures.
- Currency: The Argentine peso is the local currency. While many places accept US dollars and credit cards, having some local pesos can be helpful for small purchases or in informal settings.
- Language: Spanish is the official language, but you may find that many people speak some English, particularly in tourist areas.
- Transportation:
- Metro: A convenient way to get around Buenos Aires. The metro system includes a tourist map with key stations marked for popular destinations.
- Taxis and Ride-Sharing Services: Always use authorized taxis or ride-sharing services like Uber.
- Walking Tours: Many neighborhoods are walkable, making them great places to explore on foot.
Visa Requirements:
- For many nationalities, Argentina offers a visa exemption that allows stays of up to 90 days. However, this can vary based on nationality and purpose of visit. Check with the Argentine embassy or consulate in your country for the most current information.
- If you’re not eligible for a visa exemption, apply at least three months in advance.
Health:
- Argentina requires certain vaccinations depending on travel history. Consult your local health authority before traveling.
- Consider purchasing travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and trip cancellations.
This itinerary is just a starting point, tailored to the first two days of your trip. Buenos Aires has much more to offer, and you may choose to extend your stay or visit other parts of Argentina for an even richer experience.
