Bangladesh 7 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Dhaka
- Arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC)
- Take a taxi or bus to your hotel ( approx. 20-30 minutes, Tk 500-1000 / $6-12 USD)
- Visit the National Museum of Bangladesh to get an overview of the country’s history and culture
- Explore the nearby Baitul Mukarram Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world
Day 2: Dhaka City
- Start the day at the Lalbagh Fort, a beautiful Mughal-era fort
- Visit the Armenian Church and the nearby Sarker Para, a historic neighborhood
- Explore the famous New Market, a popular shopping destination
- Try some local street food, like jhal muri or fuchka
Day 3: Dhaka to Sreemangal
- Take a morning train ( approx. 4 hours, Tk 500-1000 / $6-12 USD) from Dhaka’s Kamalapur Station
- Visit the beautiful Jaintipani Island in Sreemangal
- Explore the nearby Foy’s Lake and take a boat ride
- Try some local fruits, like jackfruit or coconut
Day 4: Sreemangal
- Visit the Lawacherra Rainforest Reserve for a trek and some bird-watching
- Take a Jeep safari in the surrounding hills (approx. Tk 1,000-2,000 / $12-25 USD)
- Explore the local market and try some traditional tea
Day 5: Sreemangal to Cox’s Bazar
- Take a morning bus ( approx. 6 hours, Tk 500-1000 / $6-12 USD) from Sreemangal
- Visit the beautiful Moheskhali Island for some beach relaxation
- Try some local seafood and enjoy the sunset
Day 6: Cox’s Bazar
- Start the day with a visit to the famous Laboni Beach (approx. Tk 1,000-2,000 / $12-25 USD)
- Take a boat ride in the nearby Inani Beach
- Visit the beautiful Maheskhali Island and take some stunning photos
Day 7: Cox’s Bazar
- Spend the day shopping for souvenirs or trying some local cuisine
- Depart from Cox’s Bazar Airport (CBP) back to your home country
Things to Know:
- Bangladesh is a Muslim-majority country, so you should dress modestly and respect local customs.
- Try to avoid eating street food during the hot summer months (June-August).
