Belize 4 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Belize
- Places to Go: Arrive at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) and transfer to your hotel in Belize City
- Things to Know: Exchange some currency (Belize Dollar, BZD) for USD or credit cards are widely accepted.
- Activities:
- Visit the Museum of Belize to learn about the country’s history and culture
- Take a stroll along the Belize River waterfront
- Get familiar with the local cuisine at a traditional Belizean restaurant
- Transportation: Taxi or shuttle service from the airport to your hotel (approximately BZD $50-$70 USD)
- Other Things:
- Try some fresh coconut water and fruit at a roadside stand
Day 2: Ambergris Caye
- Places to Go: Take a morning ferry to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye
- Things to Know: Belize has a “no shoes, no shirt, no worries” policy in most beaches.
- Activities:
- Snorkel or scuba dive at the famous Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley
- Visit the island’s only town, San Pedro, for shopping, dining, and exploring
- Take a sunset sailing trip to see dolphins and sea turtles
- Transportation: Ferry from Belize City to San Pedro (approximately BZD $30-$50 USD return)

- Try some local seafood at one of the many restaurants
Day 3: Caye Caulker
- Places to Go: Take a morning ferry to Caye Caulker
- Things to Know: This island is more laid-back and has fewer amenities compared to Ambergris Caye.

- Snorkel or dive at the coral reef, the Mesoamerican Reef (the second-largest in the world)
- Visit the famous “Split” a narrow strip of land connecting two islands
- Relax on the island’s beaches and take a sunset sail
- Transportation: Ferry from San Pedro to Caye Caulker (approximately BZD $20-$30 USD return)
- Other Things:
- Try some fresh lobster or conch at one of the local restaurants
Day 4: Blue Hole
- Places to Go: Take a morning flight to Flores, followed by a short drive to the Belize River
- Things to Know: The Blue Hole is not directly accessible from Ambergris Caye or Caye Caulker.
- Activities:
- Fly over the famous Blue Hole (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) on a small plane or helicopter
- Explore the surrounding jungle and see wildlife, including monkeys and toucans
- Take a relaxing boat ride along the Belize River
- Transportation: Flight from Ambergris Caye to Flores (approximately BZD $100-$150 USD return), followed by a short drive to the Blue Hole (approximately BZD $20-$30 USD each way)
- Other Things:
- Bring your camera and binoculars to capture the stunning views of the Blue Hole.
