Burkina Faso-4-day-itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ouagadougou
- Arrival: Arrive at Ouagadougou’s Senougo International Airport
- Transfer: Take a taxi or shuttle bus ( approx. 30 minutes, $5) to your hotel
- Check-in: Check into your hotel and rest after the long flight
Things to know:
- Burkina Faso is a French-speaking country, but many locals also speak Mooré and other local languages.
- The official currency is the West African CFA franc (XOF).
- Be prepared for crowded streets and markets.
Day 2: Ouagadougou City Tour
- Morning: Visit the Grand Mosque of Ouagadougou (9am-12pm), a beautiful mosque with Moorish architecture

Transportation:

- For longer journeys, buses and shared taxis (called “car rapides”) can be used.
Visa Requirements:
- Citizens of the United States, Canada, Australia, and the European Union do not need a visa for Burkina Faso.
- All visitors must have a valid passport with at least six months’ validity.
Other things to know:
- Malaria is prevalent in Burkina Faso; take necessary precautions before arrival.
