7-Day Kenya Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Transfer to Lake Nakuru
- Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO)
- Pick-up from the airport by our driver/guide, who will brief you on your trip
- Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park (approximately 2 hours) for a morning game drive
- Spot black and white rhinos, buffalo, and various antelopes in their natural habitat
- Visit the park’s famous flamingo lake, home to millions of pink birds
- Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar
Things to Know:
- Kenya is generally safe for tourists, but be aware of petty theft and scams.
- Nairobi is a busy city with traffic; plan accordingly.
Day 2: Game Drive in Lake Nakuru National Park and Transfer to Maasai Mara
- Early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park
- Explore the park’s diverse landscapes and spot wildlife
- Enjoy picnic lunch inside the park
- Afternoon transfer to the Maasai Mara (approximately 4.5 hours)
- Arrive at your lodge and enjoy some relaxation time before dinner
- Many lodges offer massages or other wellness services
Transportation:
- Road conditions in Kenya can be rough, so consider upgrading to a 4x4 vehicle for comfort.
Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve
- Early morning and evening game drives in the Maasai Mara
- Witness the great migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles (seasonal)
- Spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo) if you’re lucky!
- Picnic lunch or enjoy a meal back at your lodge

- Alternatively, visit a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions

Day 5: Drive to Lake Bogoria (approximately 4 hours) and Boat Ride on Lake Sonachi
- Morning game drive in the Lake Bogoria area
- Spot giraffes, hyenas, and other wildlife
- Take a boat ride on Lake Sonachi, known for its hot springs and geysers
- This is a unique experience and great for photography

Day 6: Game Drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy (morning) and Transfer to Nairobi (afternoon)
- Morning game drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy

- Afternoon transfer back to Nairobi (approximately 2 hours)
- Enjoy a farewell dinner at one of Nairobi’s restaurants
