Day 1: Riga and the Coast

9:00 AM: Arrive at Riga International Airport (RIX)
- Note: Latvia is part of the Schengen Area; as a citizen of many countries, you won’t need a visa for stays up to 90 days. However, it’s always best to check your specific requirements.
10:00 AM: Take a taxi or bus from the airport to Riga’s city center (approx. 30 minutes)
- Bus ticket costs around €1-2
- Taxi fare is about €20-25
11:00 AM: Visit the Latvian National Museum of Art in Riga’s Old Town

2:00 PM: Enjoy lunch at one of Riga’s traditional restaurants or cafes. Try some local cuisine such as Aukstā Kāpa (Latvian pancakes) or Kļava.
3:30 PM: Visit the House of the Blackheads, a beautiful Gothic building in the heart of Old Town

Day 2: The Countryside

8:00 AM: Drive to the nearby town of Cēsis (about an hour away)
- By car, take the A5 highway towards Tukums. In Cesis, turn onto the Viesītes iela and continue until you reach the center.
9:30 AM: Visit the Cēsis Castle (Kesuma Castle), a medieval fortress built in the 13th century

- Tickets cost around €2

1:00 PM: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
3:00 PM: Visit one of Latvia’s most beautiful national parks - the Gauja National Park
- This park is home to many historic sites, forests, and rivers. It’s a perfect place for hiking or cycling.
