Montserrat: A 6-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Exploration of Plymouth

  • Morning: Arrive at Antonio Rivera Airport (EIS), the only airport in Montserrat. From there, take a taxi or bus (approximately $10-$15 USD) to Plymouth, the island’s capital.
  • Afternoon: Visit the Montserrat Volcanic Centre Museum to learn about the island’s volcanic past and its impact on the environment. This is also a good place to get an overview of your trip and plan your activities.
  • Evening: Explore Plymouth’s main street, which offers a variety of local shops selling crafts, souvenirs, and other essentials.

Day 2: Volcanic Landscapes and Historical Sites

  • Morning: Visit the Centre of Montserrat (COM), which is located near the edge of the volcano. You can explore the crater, take in the views, and see the ash-covered landscape.
