Namibia Travel Itinerary - Day 1 & 2
Overview
Welcome to Namibia, a country known for its stunning natural beauty, rich culture, and friendly people. This itinerary is designed to give you a taste of what Namibia has to offer in just two days.
Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park
8:00 am - Depart from Windhoek
- Transportation: Take a shuttle or rent a car from Windhoek to Etosha National Park ( approx. 4 hours)
- Things to know: Make sure you have a valid driver’s license and car rental agreement if you’re driving yourself.
12:00 pm - Lunch at Okaukuejo Rest Camp
- Place to go: Stop by the Okaukuejo Rest Camp for lunch and some refreshments.
- Things to know: Try the local cuisine, which is a fusion of African, German, and British influences.
2:00 pm - Etosha National Park Game Drive
- Activity: Go on an open vehicle game drive in Etosha National Park ( approx. 4 hours)
- Things to see: Spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, and zebras.
- Tips: Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo).
7:00 pm - Dinner at Okaukuejo Rest Camp
- Place to go: Enjoy dinner at the camp’s restaurant or braai (barbecue) area.
- Things to know: Try some of the local game meat dishes.
Day 2: Etosha National Park
6:00 am - Sunrise Game Drive
- Activity: Take an early morning open vehicle game drive in Etosha National Park ( approx. 3 hours)
- Things to see: Spot wildlife such as predators and herbivores.
- Tips: This is a great time for photography, so don’t forget your camera.
9:00 am - Visit the Etosha Pan
- Place to go: Explore the Etosha Pan, a large salt pan that’s a remnant of a prehistoric lake ( approx. 2 hours)
- Things to know: Learn about the geology and history of the pan.
12:00 pm - Lunch at Halali Rest Camp
- Place to go: Stop by the Halali Rest Camp for lunch and some refreshments.
- Things to know: Try some of the local cuisine.
2:00 pm - Departure from Etosha National Park
- Transportation: Return to Windhoek via shuttle or rent a car ( approx. 4 hours)
