Nicaragua Travel Itinerary - 2 Days

Breakfast: Start your day with a traditional Nicaraguan breakfast at Café las Tres Marias in the historic center of Managua. Try their famous coffee and some traditional dishes like “nacatamales” or “gallopinto.”
Managua City Tour: Visit the National Museum, which provides an overview of Nicaragua’s history and culture. Don’t miss the impressive statue of Rubén Darío, one of Nicaragua’s most celebrated writers.
Granada Tour Departure: Head to Granada (approx. 1 hour drive) and visit the city’s famous colonial streets. Walk through the vibrant markets and admire the well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture.

Isletas de Granada Tour: Take a boat tour to explore the Isletas de Granada, a group of small islands formed by volcanic lava flows. This is an excellent spot for birdwatching.
Visit to Mombacho Volcano: Consider visiting Mombacho Volcano, which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and Lake Nicaragua.

Ometepe Island Tour Departure: Take a ferry from San Carlos to Ometepe Island (approx. 1 hour). Visit the island’s unique volcanic landscapes and spot some wildlife like monkeys or iguanas.
