Palestine-5-day-itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ramallah
- Morning: Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) and clear immigration
- Note: You may need a special permit to travel to Palestine, see Visa Requirements below
- Afternoon: Head to Ramallah, the de facto capital of Palestine
- Transportation: Take a taxi or bus from the airport to Ramallah ( approx. 1 hour journey)
- Places to visit:
- Al-Manara Square: A vibrant square in the heart of Ramallah with shops, cafes and street performers
- Palestinian Museum: A modern museum showcasing Palestinian art, history and culture
- Restaurant: Try some delicious Palestinian cuisine at a local restaurant, such as Abu Shakra or Al-Kabesh
- Things to know:
- English is widely spoken in Palestine, but Arabic and Hebrew are also common languages
- Be respectful of local customs and traditions, especially when visiting mosques or churches
Day 2: Jerusalem
- Morning: Take a bus or taxi from Ramallah to Jerusalem ( approx. 30-40 minutes journey)
- Places to visit:
- Dome of the Rock: A stunning Islamic shrine located on the Temple Mount
- Western Wall: A sacred Jewish site where prayers are often written and placed in the wall
- Church of the Holy Sepulchre: A historic Christian church said to be the site of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial and resurrection
- Things to know:
- Be prepared for security checks at various sites throughout Jerusalem
- Respect local dress codes and customs when visiting places of worship
Day 3: Hebron
- Morning: Take a bus or taxi from Ramallah to Hebron ( approx. 1-2 hours journey)
- Places to visit:
- Tomb of the Patriarchs: A sacred site in Islam, Judaism and Christianity where Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob and Leah are said to be buried
- Old City of Hebron: Explore the narrow streets and alleys of this ancient city
- Local market: Browse the stalls selling local produce, crafts and souvenirs
- Things to know:
- Be prepared for a potentially emotional experience when visiting the Tomb of the Patriarchs
- Respect local customs and traditions, especially when visiting mosques or churches
Day 4: Bethlehem
- Morning: Take a bus or taxi from Ramallah to Bethlehem ( approx. 30-40 minutes journey)
- Places to visit:
- Nativity Church: A historic church said to be the site of Jesus’ birth
- Manger Square: A lively square with shops, cafes and street performers
- Local market: Browse the stalls selling local produce, crafts and souvenirs
- Things to know:
- Be prepared for crowds and long lines at popular sites like the Nativity Church
- Respect local customs and traditions, especially when visiting places of worship
Day 5: Ramallah
- Morning: Spend a relaxing morning in Ramallah
- Visit a local cafe or bakery to sample some Palestinian pastries and coffee
- Explore the local market for last-minute souvenirs and gifts
- Afternoon: Depart from Ramallah (or extend your stay)
Visa Requirements:
- Citizens of many countries, including the US, Canada, Australia and the EU, do not need a visa to visit Palestine.

Transportation:
- Buses: A convenient and affordable way to travel between cities
- Taxis: Available throughout Ramallah and other major cities
