Day 1: Arrival in Shizuoka

Morning: Arrive at Shimizu Airport (SZO) or Hamamatsu Station
10:00 AM: Visit the Shimoda Coast, a scenic area known for its white sand beaches and clear waters. Take a stroll along the coast and enjoy the ocean views.
12:30 PM: Lunch at Sushi no Midori, a renowned sushi restaurant in Shimoda that serves fresh seafood.
2:00 PM: Visit the Shimoda Castle, a historic castle that dates back to 1871. Explore the castle’s grounds and learn about its history.
6:00 PM: Dinner at Yoshida Sushi, a highly-recommended sushi restaurant in Shizuoka City.
Accommodation: Stay at the Hotel MyStays Shizuoka or similar.

Things to know

Weather can be hot and humid during summer, so bring sunscreen and a hat.

Day 2: Explore Hamamatsu

1:00 PM: Lunch at Tonkatsu Maisen Aoyama Honten, a renowned restaurant that serves delicious tonkatsu (breaded and deep-fried pork cutlet).
3:00 PM: Visit the Kawanezaki Waterfall, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
6:00 PM: Dinner at Sakura Dori, a street lined with restaurants serving local cuisine.

Transportation

Take a train from Shizuoka Station to Hamamatsu Station (approximately 45 minutes)
Use the JR Tokaido Main Line or the Meisho Line for transportation
