Day 1:

  • Try some of Togo’s delicious cuisine, such as Akara (fried bean cakes), Gbegle (plantain fufu), or Poulet Fricassee (chicken stew)
  • Wash it down with some cold Kpalbé (a local beer)

2:30 PM - Explore the Grand Marché

  • Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Togo’s largest market
  • Browse stalls selling fresh produce, crafts, and souvenirs

Evening

6:00 PM - Sunset at the Atlantic Coast

  • Head to the coast to watch the sunset over the ocean
  • Take a stroll along the beach or go for a swim (if you’re feeling adventurous!)

8:00 PM - Dinner at a Seafront Restaurant

Things to Know:

  • Togolese currency is the West African CFA franc (XOF)
  • Credit cards are not widely accepted, so it’s best to have local currency on hand
  • Be prepared for crowds and noise at the markets and beaches
