Uganda-6-day-itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
- Arrival: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport (EBB)
- Visa Requirements: Citizens of the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and most EU countries do not need a visa to enter Uganda. However, please check with your local Ugandan embassy or consulate for any updates on visa requirements.
- Transportation: From Entebbe Airport to Kampala City, you can take a taxi (approximately 1 hour) or rent a car
- Things to Know:
- You will need to purchase a SIM card from one of the many vendors at the airport if you want to stay connected while in Uganda.
- The Ugandan Shilling is the local currency, but USD and other major currencies are widely accepted
- Places to Go: Kampala City, visit the famous Kasubi Tombs (the burial site of the Kabaka (King) of the Baganda people), or explore the vibrant markets and streets of Nakasero
Day 2: Kampala City Tour
- Transportation: Start your day with a drive to the nearby town of Lubowa (30 minutes from Kampala)
- Places to Go: Visit the beautiful Lubowa Gardens, a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city
- Activities:
- Take a guided tour of the gardens and learn about their history and unique plant species.
- Enjoy a leisurely walk along the serene lakeside paths
- Things to Know: Be prepared for the heat and humidity, and don’t forget to bring sunscreen and a hat
- Transportation: After lunch, return to Kampala City and head to your next destination
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
- Transportation: Take an early morning bus or rent a car for the 4-hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park
- Places to Go: Visit the park’s headquarters, where you can purchase a guide and learn about the park’s rules and regulations
- Activities:
- Take a guided boat tour along the Nile River and get up close to the stunning Murchison Falls
- Spot an incredible variety of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and monkeys
- Things to Know: Be prepared for the heat and sun exposure, and don’t forget your sunscreen and hat
Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- Transportation: Take a morning bus or rent a car for the 7-hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- Places to Go: Visit the park’s headquarters, where you can purchase a guide and learn about the park’s rules and regulations
- Activities:
- Take a guided hike through the forest and spot rare mountain gorillas in their natural habitat
- Explore the park’s unique flora and fauna

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi
- Transportation: Take a morning bus or rent a car for the 3-hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi
- Places to Go: Visit the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, a tranquil oasis in the heart of Uganda
- Activities:
- Take a leisurely boat tour across the lake and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
- Spot a variety of bird species and other wildlife
Day 6: Return to Entebbe
- Transportation: From Lake Bunyonyi, take a morning bus or rent a car for the 3-hour drive back to Entebbe
- Places to Go: Visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Entebbe before departing Uganda.
