Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

  • Transfer to your hotel in Kampala (approximately 45 minutes journey)
  • Spend the day relaxing or exploring the nearby Lake Victoria waterfront
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kampala (e.g. Speke Resort Munyonyo)

Day 2: Explore Kampala

  • Breakfast at your hotel
  • Visit the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary (approximately $30 entrance fee)
  • Explore the Kasubi Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Visit the Uganda National Museum to learn about the country’s history and culture
  • Things to know: Be prepared for busy streets and traffic in Kampala. Use reputable taxi services or ride-sharing apps.
  • Transportation: Private transfers or public taxis (approximately $5-$10)

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

  • Drive to Murchison Falls National Park (approximately 4 hours journey)
  • Enter the park and take a game drive in search of wildlife such as lions, elephants, and giraffes
  • Visit the top of the falls for breathtaking views (approximately $30 entrance fee)
  • Things to know: Be prepared for early morning game drives. Bring binoculars and a camera.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking

  • Early morning chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest (approximately $50 entrance fee)

  • Things to know: Trackers will provide guidance on the best spots to see chimps. Bring a camera and binoculars.

Day 5: Kibale National Park

Day 7: Return to Entebbe

  • Drive back to Entebbe International Airport (approximately 4 hours journey)
