Vanuatu 5-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Port Vila
- Arrival: Arrive at Bauerfield International Airport (VUV) in Port Vila, the capital city of Vanuatu.
- Accommodation: Check-in to your hotel or resort. We recommend staying in a central location like Eratap Beach Resort or Grand Hotel and Casino.
- Activities:
- Visit the nearby Port Vila Market for some local shopping and try some fresh seafood.
- Explore the National Museum of Vanuatu to learn about the country’s history, culture, and geography.
- Things to know: Don’t forget to exchange your money at a local currency exchange office. The Vatu (VUV) is the local currency, but USD is widely accepted.
Day 2: Port Vila
- Breakfast: Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel or a local café.
- Activities:
- Take a ferry to Efate Island for some snorkeling and swimming in the beautiful waters of Moso Beach.
- Visit the stunning Mele Cascades, a 30-meter waterfall that’s perfect for a refreshing swim.

Day 3: Pei Island

- Departure: Depart from Bauerfield International Airport (VUV) back home.
Visa Requirements:
- Citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and other Pacific nations don’t require a visa to enter Vanuatu.
- Citizens of other countries can obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) online or upon arrival at the airport.
- The ETA costs around VUV 2000 (approximately USD 70).
Transportation:
- The best way to get around Port Vila is by walking or using local taxis.
- For inter-island travel, take a ferry from Port Vila to nearby islands like Pei Island and Mystery Island.
