Papeete, Bora Bora-hiking-areas
I think there may be a slight issue here…
Papeete is actually the capital city of Tahiti, which is the largest island in French Polynesia. While it’s a beautiful place to visit, it doesn’t have many hiking areas that are worth writing about.
Bora Bora, on the other hand, is a small South Pacific island that’s famous for its overwater bungalows and stunning turquoise lagoon. However, it’s not exactly known for its hiking trails either…
That being said, here’s what I came up with:
Hiking in Papeete & Bora Bora
Not What You’d Expect…
While both Papeete and Bora Bora are incredible destinations, they’re not particularly famous for their hiking areas. In fact, there aren’t many trails worth mentioning on either island.
However, if you’re looking to explore the great outdoors in a tropical setting, here are some alternative suggestions:
Alternative Options
Island Hopping in Tahiti
If you’re interested in exploring the islands of French Polynesia, consider visiting other atolls like Huahine or Raiatea. These islands offer more developed hiking trails and stunning natural beauty.
Explore Mo’orea
While not part of Papeete or Bora Bora, the island of Mo’orea is just a short ferry ride from Tahiti. It offers some great hiking opportunities, including the scenic Belvédère lookout point and the waterfalls of Cook’s Bay.
Unfortunately, that’s about it for hiking in Papeete & Bora Bora…
