Sightseeing in Lusaka

National Museum of Zambia: A great place to learn about the country’s history and culture. The museum features a collection of artifacts, exhibits, and interactive displays.
Kamwala Market: A bustling marketplace where you can find everything from fresh produce to handicrafts. Be prepared for a vibrant atmosphere and some haggling with vendors!
Lusaka National Park: A beautiful park that’s home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Take a leisurely drive through the park or go on a guided walk.

Presidential Palace: The official residence of the President of Zambia. While you can’t go inside, the building itself is worth admiring from the outside.
Lusaka City Market: A smaller market that’s more geared towards tourists. You can find souvenirs and try some local snacks here.

Traffic in Lusaka can be chaotic, so be prepared for crowded streets and potentially slow travel times.
Respect local customs when visiting markets or interacting with Zambians. A simple “hello” or “jambo” (hello) can go a long way!
Bring sunscreen and a hat, as the African sun can be strong in Lusaka.
Try some local cuisine, such as nshima (maize porridge) or kapenta (a type of fried fish).

Taxis are readily available throughout the city. Just make sure to agree on the price before you start your journey!
Buses and minibuses also run frequently, but be prepared for a more crowded and potentially chaotic ride.
Walking is a great way to explore some of Lusaka’s neighborhoods, such as Kamwala or Morningside. Just watch out for potholes!
