As the largest city in Canada, Toronto may not be the first place that comes to mind when thinking of hiking. However, the city and its surrounding areas offer a diverse range of trails for hikers of all levels, from easy strolls along the lakefront to more challenging treks through forests and parks.
1. High Park
Located in west-end Toronto, High Park is one of the city’s most popular hiking spots. The park features over 400 acres of green space, including walking trails, picnic areas, and a famous cherry blossom festival every spring.

2. Edwards Gardens
